Ruth Meier’s Hospitality House Needs Your Help!

ruthmeiersOur food pantry shelves need filling! Ruth Meiers provides food for 45+ households monthly. In addition, the Soup

Kitchen serves an average of 50 people daily. Suggested Food Donations Include: canned meats, fruits and vegetables, coffee, sugar, snack foods, instant potato mix, peanut butter, pasta & sauces, stuffing, tuna & hamburgerhelper, powdered milk, chili, sloppy joe mix, soups, & paper towels.

ALSO, in an effort to save the planet (and by default some money) the Soup Kitchen is going green! After a recent visit to the landfill, Julie Huwe, food service program coordinator, left disturbed. Plastic was everywhere! Styrofoam takes over a million years to decompose and plastic silverware, over 1,000 years. It’s a small step for the planet, but a big step for Ruth Meiers!

We are needing: used or new REUSEABLE plates, bowls, mugs and cups. Thank you once again for all the help you have given to Ruth Meiers! Bring Donations to: 1800 E. Broadway Ave anytime between 8:00 am—4:30 pm.
